ABOUT SOLARMULTIPLE
Patent Award and History
SolarMultiple's team has deep experience in power, energy, and weather modeling. Coming originally from concentrated solar power companies, we knew we wanted to develop a true business case for supporting efficient water services in the oil & gas, power, industrial, and mining industries. After a protracted and extensive bench testing as well as pilot test facilities (see Projects section), our system was provided U.S. Patent No. 9,969,626, with the Formal Letters Patent issued on May 15, 2018.
Since then, we have worked closely with O&G, mining, desalination, and power generation facilities to deploy our technology while continuously improving and developing new technology to manage water in environmentally ways.
THE TEAM
ERIC REITZE
Managing Director
Eric Reitze is a graduate of the Colorado School of Mines and holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Economics. Prior to SolarMultiple, Eric held project engineering and management positions at Zachry Engineering, Abengoa Solar, and Skyfuel among others and has overseen the engineering and delivery of multiple innovative sustainable thermal energy projects. Eric is a registered professional engineer in the state of Colorado and a certified Project Management Professional.
KEITH GAWLIK
Chief Scientist
Keith Gawlik has been a project manager and testing team lead at Abengoa Solar and a Senior Engineer at NREL. His background includes work in thermal energy storage and advanced power cycles for CSP plants, transpired solar air heaters, geothermal binary cycle power plants, enhanced heat transfer surfaces, corrosion barrier polymer coatings, polymer heat exchangers, natural convection cooling towers, and solar domestic hot water systems. He received R&D 100 and Federal Laboratory Consortium for Technology Transfer awards related to his work on polymer coatings. He has patents on the transpired collector, enhanced heat transfer surface, and chemical application systems. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with S.B. and S.M. degrees in mechanical engineering and earned his Ph.D. at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is a registered professional engineer in Colorado.
BILL HARGETT
Director of Sales and Finance
Bill Hargett has over 15 years of experience in power development and sales. He has held positions a JE Dunn Construction, Quanta Services, and Abengoa among others and has a background in sales, contract negotiation, and finance for power projects domestically and internationally. He holds an MBA from IESE Business School.
